Horse sports and horseback riding are activities with intrinsic hazards. The use of protective equipment such as body protectors and helmets will not eliminate all injuries. They are designed to reduce the severity and frequency of injury. Participation in such sports implies accptance of some risk of serious injury including death. The goal of these vests is to minimise the risk.

It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the standard of vest that they select is approved for use by the organisation under which they are riding.

When purchasing a vest, you should read the information supplied with the product very carefully and take careful note of the information about fitting and care to ensure that your vest offers you the optimum level of support to which is was manufactured.
