Made from high density EVA foam, the girth channel is placed between the girth and the horse. Not only does it help prevent galls, pinching and rubbing, it also protects the girth from absorbing sweat, thereby reducing the need to wash the girth as often, and so extending the life of the girth.

Larger stables find girth channels an invaluable tool, as the girth channel is also easily disinfected, which helps prevent the spread of bacterial and fungal infections where the same gear is used on multiple horses.
